ABOUT VIKINGFJORD

The most environmentally friendly vessel of her size in the polar regions, VIKINGFJORD was transformed from a Norwegian maritime ship to a luxurious exploration vessel. Designed with polar expeditions in mind, she has been considerately refitted to ensure low-impact cruising, complete with an ice-strengthened hull and a biodiesel-capable engine.

On board, there are six double cabins and two single cabins, each with an ensuite and windows. The Scandinavian interiors extend throughout the vessel, bringing light into each room and making each cabin feel spacious. Her spacious dining room seats 12 guests across three tables, with large windows to enjoy spectacular panoramic views on both sides to complement freshly prepared meals from your onboard chef.

Witness breathtaking polar scenery from the observation lounge, the heart of the ship, or learn about your surroundings and the local wildlife through expert-led presentations in the bridge salon. Warm up after a thrilling day of adventure in the Arctic with a soothing soak in the hot tub under the light of the midnight sun. Make your way out on deck to where you can spot incredible polar wildlife including whales, orcas, and the elusive polar bear.

Her two zodiacs allow to explore the frigid waters and dramatic landscapes further with the expedition team. Explore Svalbard’s beautiful natural wilderness, encountering glaciers, snow capped peaks, and abundant wildlife. Charter around Greenland and discover the stunning and complex fjord systems as you sail around towering icebergs and untouched landscapes, ripe for adventure.
