Top Superyachts for Charter

What Defines a Top Superyacht Charter?

A superyacht charter is defined by more than length. The best superyachts combine pedigree build, considered interiors, experienced crew, generous deck space and the technical capability to make time on board feel effortless.

This collection brings together superyachts chosen for their scale, service, design and onboard capability. From expansive decks and beach clubs to water sports, wellness spaces, tenders, stabilisation and long-range cruising, each yacht earns its place through what it allows guests to experience at sea.

Octopus

A 48-METRE FEADSHIP SUPERYACHT WITH CLASSIC PEDIGREE AND EXTENDED RANGE

OCTOPUS brings together Feadship craftsmanship, a major 2024 refit and the comfort of a private home at sea. At 48.20 metres, she accommodates 12 guests across five staterooms, including a full-beam master suite with private office, steam shower and Jacuzzi tub.

Her strength lies in the balance between comfort and capability. Four decks provide space for formal dining, relaxed evenings in the sky lounge and long days on the sundeck, where a 10-person Jacuzzi, air-conditioned gym, sun pads and BBQ station create a natural focus for life outside. With zero-speed stabilisers, dual Starlink internet, a full dive set-up and a wide inventory of tenders and water toys, OCTOPUS is well suited to extended Mediterranean, Caribbean or transatlantic itineraries.

ARCTIC

AN 88-METRE EXPLORER SUPERYACHT WITH GLOBAL REACH

ARCTIC is one of the most distinctive large superyachts available for charter, combining explorer capability with the space and service expected of an 88-metre yacht. Originally built as an ice-class salvage tug and later converted into a luxury expedition yacht, she carries the strength of her working heritage into private charter life.

Her scale allows for a rare breadth of experience on board. Multiple deck areas can be arranged for dining, wellness, entertaining or expedition operations, while the helideck, extensive tender fleet, dive equipment, cinema, gym, pool, Jacuzzi and massage facilities support both remote exploration and time at anchor. For groups looking for a superyacht with serious range, history and operational depth, ARCTIC sits apart from more conventional large yachts.

AMARYLLIS

A 78-METRE ABEEKING & RASMUSSEN SUPERYACHT WITH ART DECO INTERIORS

Fresh from an extensive 2026 refit, AMARYLLIS is a flagship superyacht for guests who want volume, service and highly finished interiors. Built by Abeking & Rasmussen, with exterior styling by Reymond Langton and a redesigned interior by Studio Vafiadis, she combines classic superyacht craftsmanship with a strong Art Deco identity.

She accommodates 12 guests, plus two supernumeraries, across seven cabins, including an owner’s suite with private terrace. Across four decks, AMARYLLIS offers a five-metre swimming pool, expansive beach club, spa, sauna, gym, private cinema and grand piano lounge. With a crew of 23 and a substantial water sports inventory, she is particularly well suited to Mediterranean charters built around entertaining, wellness and time at anchor.

Superyacht Charter FAQs

A superyacht charter is the private hire of a large luxury yacht with a professional captain and crew. While there is no single legal definition, a superyacht is generally understood to be a professionally crewed yacht over 24 metres, designed for private leisure rather than commercial transport. A charter gives you access to the yacht, crew, accommodation, onboard service, dining, water sports and a tailored itinerary.

The term superyacht is generally used for larger private yachts, usually over 24 metres, with full-time professional crew, guest accommodation and a high level of onboard service. A smaller yacht may be owner-operated or run with limited seasonal crew, while a superyacht will typically have a captain, chef, engineers, deck crew and interior team.

There is no strict industry-wide definition, but megayacht is often used for the very largest yachts, commonly around 80 metres or above. Some also use gross tonnage, rather than length, as the dividing line, with 3,000GT often treated as a significant threshold because of the regulatory requirements attached to larger vessels. In simple terms, all megayachts are superyachts, but not all superyachts are megayachts.

A private superyacht charter usually includes use of the yacht, accommodation on board and service from the crew. Depending on the charter agreement, additional costs may include fuel, provisioning, drinks, berthing, taxes, communications, permits and specialist shore experiences. Most superyachts also carry tenders and water toys, with larger yachts often offering features such as beach clubs, gyms, cinemas, spas, pools or helidecks.

Superyachts can be chartered across many of the world’s leading cruising regions, including the Mediterranean, Caribbean, South Pacific, Southeast Asia, Antarctica, the Arctic and remote island chains. The right destination depends on the yacht’s range, seasonal availability, local regulations and the type of experience you want to create.

The right superyacht depends on more than size. Important factors include cabin layout, crew experience, deck space, tenders, water sports equipment, stabilisers, cruising range, onboard facilities and suitability for the chosen destination. For remote or expedition-led itineraries, technical capability and operational experience become especially important.
