About SCINTILLA MARIS

Having spent 20 years trawling the North Sea before being decommissioned in 2006, SCINTILLA MARIS is starting her new life as an explorer yacht. Her hull has been recycled and her superstructure remains that of a trawler, but the most dramatic transformation has been inside. The interiors feel like a contemporary loft, with 30 skylights, curved walls, and a bold colour scheme of red, green and yellow.

She can comfortably sleep up to 10 guests across two double and two bunk-style twin staterooms and a full-beam master stateroom complete with an accompanying office area. Elsewhere, the main saloon is functional and contemporary, boasting a large country-style galley aft.

On deck, there are plenty of outdoor spaces for relaxation, entertainment, and admiring the beautiful Arctic landscapes.

SCINTILLA MARIS’ extensive seafaring history and exceptional seaworthiness make her the perfect vessel for expeditions to the far north. Cruise the icy waters of Svalbard, Greenland and coastal Norway, spotting wildlife (think polar bears, whales and various birds) as you go. Spend your days kayaking between fjords, visiting charming fishing villages, or hiking among glaciers in the company of an expert Inuit guide before returning to your yacht and dining under the Northern Lights.
