ABOUT SARASTAR

SARASTAR was built in 2017 by Mondomarine and accommodates 12 guests across six cabins, including a master suite with midnight blue onyx detailing, a velvet ceiling and two private folding balconies. Her interiors are bold and highly detailed, with marble floors, a back-lit onyx staircase, a chandelier in the main salon and rich materials used across the guest areas. This is not a quiet, pared-back charter yacht. SARASTAR has a strong visual identity, suited to guests who want a yacht with presence.

The social spaces follow the same approach. The sun deck features a glass surround, glass flooring, an exotic garden and a full bar, creating a generous open-air space for dining, entertaining and time at anchor. The beach club adds another dimension, working as a daytime lounge with direct access to the water before converting into a private disco bar by night.

SARASTAR superyacht cruising in Japan

SARASTAR is well suited to Japan and Asia yacht charters, where the experience often moves between major ports, island anchorages and time ashore. A touch-and-go helipad on the bow allows private aviation transfers directly to the yacht where permitted, while two Colombo tenders support smooth movement between shore, yacht and neighbouring islands.

She is also well set up for active days on the water. An RYA-certified water sports centre, diving equipment for six guests, Seabobs, Waverunners, Superjets, kayaks, wakeboards, water skis and towable toys give guests a full programme between destinations. With a crew of 15 and the scale of a 60-metre yacht, SARASTAR can support charters that combine city access, coastal cruising, island stops and longer periods on board.

Explore Japan by Yacht

A Japan yacht charter aboard SARASTAR can move between city harbours, island anchorages and cultural landmarks in a way that feels very different from a land-based itinerary. Begin in Tokyo before cruising towards Hakone and Mount Fuji, then continue through Ago Bay and Ise for pearl-diving heritage, Shinto shrines and time on the water.

Further south, the route can take in Kyoto, Osaka, Naoshima and Teshima, where contemporary art, historic temples and coastal dining sit within reach of the yacht. From there, continue towards Onomichi, Hiroshima, Beppu, Yakushima and Kagoshima, combining hot springs, cedar forests, diving, kayaking and volcanic landscapes with long periods on board.

SARASTAR’s tenders, water sports set-up and generous social spaces make her a strong base for this kind of Japan itinerary, where the yacht connects culture, coastline and time at sea.

Why we love it

SARASTAR stands out for the way she combines a touch-and-go helipad, beach club disco and serious water sports set-up with bold marble, onyx and velvet interiors. The result is a yacht that works as well for entertaining as it does for active days on the water.

For Japan and Asia, those features matter. The helipad supports more seamless arrivals where permitted, the tenders allow easy movement between shore and anchorage, and the RYA-certified water sports centre gives guests plenty to do once the yacht is in position. With a crew of 15 and a private charter programme in the region, SARASTAR has the scale, style and operational capability for a more ambitious Asia yacht charter.
