ABOUT OTIUM

OTIUM was built using traditional Indonesian phinisi construction, with an ironwood and teak hull and handcrafted interiors throughout. Natural materials, soft tones and artisan detailing connect the interiors to the craft traditions of the region, creating a calm, refined setting that feels closely tied to Indonesia.

Six suites accommodate up to 12 guests, while the indoor-outdoor lounge opens directly to views across the water. Hybrid solar-supported energy and advanced battery systems allow for quieter nights at anchor, particularly in remote cruising areas where the surroundings are part of the experience. A crew of 15, including a dedicated masseuse, supports the programme on board.

OTIUM’s phinisi hull and shallow draft give her access to protected anchorages across Komodo National Park, Raja Ampat, Alor and the Spice Islands. These regions are best explored by yacht, with days shaped around reef conditions, tender access, diving, snorkelling and time ashore.

OTIUM is a great option for divers. A Nitrox dive system, two compressors and diving equipment for eight guests allow for a more developed programme beneath the surface, led by a dedicated dive instructor with local knowledge of Indonesia’s reefs. Beyond diving, five tenders, kayaks, paddleboards, Seabobs, electric boards, a waterslide, wakeboard, waterski, monoski and kitesurf gear give the yacht a broad water sports set-up for mixed groups.

Why we love it

OTIUM feels deeply connected to Indonesia. Her phinisi construction, ironwood and teak build, handcrafted interiors and regional cruising programme all reflect the archipelago she explores. She is also far more than a beautiful traditional yacht. With a commercial helideck, shallow draft, Nitrox dive system, two compressors, five tenders and a strong water sports inventory, she has the capability for serious Indonesia yacht charters across Komodo, Raja Ampat, Alor and the Spice Islands.

What makes her stand out is the combination of craft and capability. Guests can move from quiet anchorages and chef-led dining to diving, kitesurfing, kayaking, Seabobs and tender-led shore access without the yacht feeling either too formal or too expedition-heavy.
