OTIUM

Yacht Charter

A 48-metre private phinisi yacht built from Indonesian ironwood and teak, OTIUM was shaped by the archipelago she travels. She carries 12 guests across six suites through Komodo, Alor, Raja Ampat and the Spice Islands, remote regions most yachts cannot reach comfortably and few do with this level of care.

  • A crew of 15 including a dedicated dive instructor and masseuse, running the programme entirely around the group's pace.

ABOUT OTIUM

OTIUM was built using traditional Indonesian phinisi construction: ironwood and teak, handcrafted details throughout and interiors that reflect the same sensibility as the hull. Natural materials, soft tones and artisan detailing sit in deliberate harmony with the landscapes outside. The craftsmanship is Indonesian, the rhythm is unhurried and the result is a yacht that feels genuinely of the region rather than transplanted into it.

Six suites accommodate up to 12 guests, with a seamless indoor-outdoor lounge opening to unobstructed views across the water. Hybrid solar power and battery systems allow for silent nights at anchor. A crew of 15, including a dedicated masseuse, runs the programme entirely around what the group wants from each day.

OTIUM's phinisi hull and shallow draft give her access to anchorages that conventional charter yachts cannot reach: the protected bays of Komodo National Park, the undived reefs of Alor, the remote passages of Raja Ampat and the historic harbours of the Spice Islands. Her Nitrox dive system with two compressors and a dedicated dive instructor with deep local knowledge of these specific reefs means the diving programme is built around what is actually in the water here, rather than a generic dive package.

The itinerary is designed around the season, the region and what the group wants from the time on board. Chef-led dining draws on regional ingredients from each destination as the voyage moves between them.

Why we love it

Built from Indonesian ironwood using traditional phinisi construction, OTIUM reaches anchorages in Komodo, Raja Ampat and the Spice Islands that conventional charter yachts cannot. The dive instructor knows these reefs specifically. The evenings at anchor are silent.
