ABOUT KUDANIL EXPLORER

KUDANIL EXPLORER began life as a safety standby vessel before being converted into a luxury explorer yacht between 2016 and 2018, with upgrades continuing since. She accommodates up to 16 adults and 3 children across eight identical 30-square-metre cabins, each with a private balcony, the only yacht in Indonesia to offer this across every cabin. The bohemian interiors sit in deliberate contrast to the rugged exterior: a sky lounge, cinema, jacuzzi on Monkey Island, spa and massage room, and 1,000 square metres of guest space across four decks. A crew of 21, specialising across surfing, diving and hospitality, runs the yacht to the same standard regardless of whether the group is anchored off a remote Papua coastline or a more accessible Komodo anchorage.

What sets KUDANIL EXPLORER apart is where she can go and what she carries to get there. A 10,000-nautical-mile range and ice-class hull construction make her the only luxury explorer yacht capable of comfortably reaching Sumba, remote Papua and, from summer 2026, the Mentawai Islands off the west coast of Sumatra, where reef breaks including Macaronis, Kandui and Lance's Right produce long, hollow waves that work on swells most Indonesian breaks cannot handle. Expert surf crew operate jet-ski pick-ups from the breaks. Dive instructors with deep local knowledge lead sessions across historic shipwrecks, caves, mangroves and coral reefs that hold more fish species than anywhere else on earth. For families, groups of serious surfers or expedition-minded travellers who want genuine access to the Indonesian archipelago rather than a circuit of its better-known ports, KUDANIL EXPLORER is the yacht that makes the itinerary possible.
