From serving in World War II at the D-Day Landings to hosting the world’s most influential people, CHRISTINA O is a legendary vessel that has witnessed some of the most iconic events over the last century. Originally a Canadian frigate, Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis acquired her in 1954 and turned her into one of the world’s most famous superyachts.
Named after Onassis’ daughter, CHRISTINA O is the perfect setting for world-class entertaining as she embodies the glamorous lifestyle of the 1950s and 60s. Once onboard, guests will be welcomed by her spacious interiors that boast original features, blending seamlessly with more recent modern comforts.
The elegant dining room can sit up to 42 guests, whilst the 17 guest suites – completely refurbished in keeping with the pastel décor selected by Jackie O – can accommodate up to 34 as 14 doubles converting into twin beds.
The impressive master stateroom, known as the Onassis Suite, is comprised of three rooms: large sleeping quarters, a white marble bathroom and a book-lined study. CHRISTINA O offers a variety of leisure and entertainment facilities including an oak-panelled library, a saloon which can transform into both a ballroom and a cinema, a gymnasium, and a music room with a Steinway piano that was graced by private performances by Frank Sinatra.
Her vast exterior spaces provide a variety of options for relaxation, socialising and entertaining. The compass deck is well suited to relaxing with loungers and a bar, while the promenade deck below boasts a spa pool and al fresco dining. Perhaps the most iconic feature of the yacht can be found on the main deck, where the original mosaic-tiled pool that transforms into a dance floor has been carefully restored.
