About ALK

27.8m ALK was built in Germany in 1965 and has been refitted as a fully equipped submarine support vessel. Based in Malta and with a top speed of 11 knots, a cruising range of 4,000 nautical miles and economic fuel consumption, she is available for charter all over the Mediterranean. She can also be chartered in the seas surrounding the Mediterranean, for example the Adriatic, Balearic, Tyrrhenian, Alboran, Ionic and Aegean seas, with relocation fees applied. ALK and her crew have supported hundreds of dive operations, from private personal expeditions to research and cinema projects, and her 8-ton A-frame crane can handle the most demanding of submersible operations.

A blue and white ship named "ALK" is anchored in calm waters with a mountainous shoreline in the background. Clear skies and scattered clouds are visible above.

Intended to function primarily as a shadow vessel, ALK has seven cabins accommodating up to thirteen, meaning there is enough space for the additional crew required to operate the submersible and if required, accommodation can be provided for excess crew of the yacht or mother vessel as well as expedition leaders or guides. With flexible charter durations offered (anywhere from one day up to months at a time), and all necessary equipment carried on board for subsea missions, ALK provides a turnkey and carefree solution for anyone who wants to incorporate sub operations into their Mediterranean yacht charter.
