Number one unforgettable travel experience?

Crossing the Darien Gap in Central America on a trip full of unknown adventures. The Darien is a notorious stretch of jungle between Panama and Colombia and the one segment stopping the great Pan-American highway. The incredible mountainous rainforest is home to two national parks and plentiful species of animals. The biggest challenge faced was coming face to face with the notorious FARC insurgency who also made the Darien their home.

Top of your travel bucket list?

Antarctica is the only continent I have not had the pleasure of visiting and the harsh environment is one which intrigues me hugely. From diving under the ice shelf and viewing whales and seals to the incredible colonies of penguins making their home on the ice. Working with scientists and researchers to uncover more of the wonders of this frozen planet is high up on the agenda.

Who is your ultimate travel partner?

Sir David Attenborough who was has been at the forefront of documenting our incredible world. His tireless work has shown us the beauties that we can take our clients to and also shown us how fragile the earth is and how we need to protect her. He would be the ultimate travel companion in increasing our awareness and knowledge of biodiversity loss and climate change which are the twin problems that threaten our planet. Our work at Pelorus and with the Pelorus Foundation aim to fundamentally change how people travel and the impact they have on our planet.
