Most creative trip planned

The most creative trip I’ve been involved in was a honeymoon circumnavigation of the globe. This journey required managing an extraordinary range of logistical complexities, from fly camps in Mongolia and yacht charters in the Seychelles to helicopter operations in Papua New Guinea. We also coordinated close protection officers in select countries and worked with a diverse network of global partners to make this remarkable adventure possible.

Number one unforgettable travel experience?

This would be extremely hard to answer. I have had the chance to do coast to coast road trips across Mexico and Costa Rica, completing my first 4-day sea passage from Italy to Gibraltar on a 30 ft chase boat or deep-sea fish out in Mauritius. However, my first road trip across Kenya must be a standout, having driven over 675km across the country via notorious fishing lakes such as Naivasha, through the Tsavo game reserves in which we camped to arriving at the stunning coastline of Watamu. I was consistently in awe of the country’s natural beauty.

Top of your travel bucket list?

It would be hard to name one. I would love to travel to Fiji to live among a traditional village to understand the culture better and experience the amazing delicacies, such as Kokoda, Cawaki, and Ivy Yaca. Alternatively, I would love to bush-trek in Uganda to encounter the Gorillas.

Who is your ultimate travel partner?

Steve Irwin would never have lacked energy or shied away from pushing the limits. I am sure he also loved a beer at the end of a long day!
