Even here, ocean-borne waste reaches the shore. Armed with rubbish bags, time ashore becomes an act of restoration, collecting discarded plastics and debris. In an ecosystem this fragile, responsibility extends beyond observation to active care.

The reefs surrounding Cosmoledo are the beating heart of this remote outpost. Vibrant coral, swaying anemones and turtle grass support an extraordinary density of marine life.
